GENERAL SANTOS CITY (November 7, 2014) – It is the third batch of on-the-job students from STI College Inc.-General Santos who linked with the actual practices of information technology at the ICT Division of the City Mayors Office under the Local Government of General Santos City. The OJT participation of STI Gensan started with the 2nd Semester of SY 2013-2014 BSIT students followed by the BSCS OJT students last Summer 2014.
This SY 2014-2015 2nd Semester, five BSIT students pair with the system development section of ICTD and tasked to develop different systems. After they completed the required documents (biodata, waiver, intent letter) the trainees started adopting the standard practice of ICTD.
The five programmers will be following the details of SDLC or the system development life cycle stipulated by ICTD to monitor their works from scratch to implementation. On a weekly basis or whenever updated, their codes must be turned-over to ICTD for continuity of tasks. ICTD follows strictly the process standard like the concept of anybody can read anybody’s program or codes. This is to ensure sustainability of training and implementation.
