TURA, PATAC INSTALL TUTORIALS AT GSCGEA

GENERAL SANTOS CITY (September 15, 2014) – Jong Facurib, 2013 GSCGEA President-elect requested the City Mayor’s Office through Leah Tolimao, Executive Asst. IV requiring ICTD to install a tutorial on the basic computer operations, and the basics of MS Word and Excel. GSCGEA is the city government employees association.
Roger Tura and Rolando Patac, Jr. both regular staff holding the position of Data Controller I from the office of the Information and Communications Technology Division (ICTD) setup and turned-over the software tutorials to the said office on September 15, 2014.

The request was made in-line with the on-going computer qualifying exam facilitated by ICTD to the applicants of the city government in various positions Majority of the officials from GSCGEA desired to have the applicants review the basics of computer operation.

ICTD revised the computer exam to cater to the extreme qualifications of applicants. Percival Pasuelo, ICT Division Chief, said that the current exam is simpler than the exam prepared by the defunct S.H.E.E.P. Computer Literacy Program – an institution conceptualized by Hon. Adelbert W. Antonino in 1998 and continued by Hon. Pedro B. Acharon from 2001 until 2010. Hon Darlene Magnolia Antonino – Custodio restructured the SHEEP-CLP in 2010-2013.

The tutorials were downloaded from the internet by Tura and Patac.
