FOUR STUDENTS UNDER SPES ASSIGNED TO ICTD
GENERAL SANTOS CITY (September 1, 2014) – Three computer hardware students from GensanTech and one BSIT student from Holy Trinity College of General Santos City were assigned by the local PESO under the Special Program for Employment of Students on September to December 2014.
Marcy Posadas is a system developer trainee of ICTD. She will be tasked to assist Mark Junnies Narido in the maintenance of the Real Property Tax System – an in-house developed computer system intended to fast-track the computation of current and delinquent taxes on real property located in General Santos City.
Posadas was a former OJT student of ICTD in the first semester of 2014-2015 who was trained to handle the conerns of users of RPTS in the Land Division of the City Treasurer’s Office. She already mastered how the RPTS operates and knew well how to troubleshoot errors and concerns of users especially in the implementation of the tax amnesty program of LGU General Santos City.
While Rodmar Timoy and Benjie will be assisting the computer hardware and software servicing team supervised by Rolando Patac, Jr. and Roger Tura who already trained the three SPES beneficiaries on the proper handling of requests and how to do the assessment, repair and maintenance of encomputer hardware. The three were former OJT students and had been a SPES beneficiaries last Summer 2014 – th of IT servicesus they already mastered how ICTD operates. Their presence at ICTD provided a positive impact in line with
the delivery of public service to ICTD clients.
