BSIT STUDENTS IMMESE WITH ICTD

GENERAL SANTOS CITY (May 29, 2014) – Ten BSIT students from the Holy Trinity College of General Santos City are set to hold their IT industry immersion at the ICTD office inside the City Hall Compound this coming first semester school year 2014-2015. Participants will be assigned to do actual programming and debugging processes of requested systems for development by different offices within the local government unit or LGU General Santos.

At the end of their industry immersion, they are expected to implement the following systems:

  1. Employment and Livelihood Information System (LG-ELIS) intended to automate the job matching processes of the Public Employment and Service Office (PESO) headed by Mr. Nurhassan A. Juanday – PESO Division Chief.Youth Development Information System (LG-YDIS) to build-up the database of out-of-school youths (OSY) of General Santos City as required by the National Youth Commission (NYC) and other local and national agencies like CSWDO, PESO, DepEd, ALS, TESDA and other agencies. LG-YDIS will be used by the Youth Affairs and Development Office (YADO) under Mr. Elmer D. Cequiña as Division Chief.

    Population Management Information System (LG-PMIS) – a modular in-house system development primarily to automate the recording of pre-marriage counseling (PMC) activities as one of the requirements of the Local Civil Registrar for marriage license application. This system will be under the City Population Management Office headed by Ms. Erline Grafilo, OIC Department Head.
