16TH SP ENACTS ORDINANCE NO.14 SERIES 2012
adminGENERAL SANTOS CITY – On November 12, 2012, Mayor Darlene Magnolia Antonino – Custodio signs City Ordinance No. 14 Series of 2012 creating the Information and Communications Technology Division under the Office of the City Mayor of the city government of General Santos.
On October 30, 2012, during the 12th regular session of the 16th Sangguniang Panlungsod, SP enacted the said ordinance as sponsored by City Councilors Hon. Bagonoc, Hon. Santos, Hon. Atendido, Hon. Oco, Hon. Llido, Hon. Natividad, co-sponsored by Hon. Rivera, Hon. Leyson, Hon. Vicente, Hon. Lagare, Hon. De Claro, Hon. Casabuena, Hon. Tablazon and Hon. Dinopol who presided the session.
One of the objectives in its creation is that “General Santos aspires to continuously improve its processes and structures as well as employee’s competencies and organizational culture thus embarks on a scheme to organize proactive development programs towards a more proficient delivery of total quality service and customer satisfaction to the constituents (of General Santos City).”
Sometime in the last week of May 2013, eight (8) applicants received their appointments to start the ICTD operation. Three (3) Data Controller II were regularized namely: Ma. Corazon Ycor, Roy Detoyato and Mark Junnies Narido; two (2) Data Controller I were appointed in the person of Rolando Patac, Jr. and Roger Tura; Kent Niño Paler was appointed as Computer Operator I while Leonard Pe and Percival Pasuelo were appointed as Information Technology Officer I and II respectively. The latter assumes the responsibility as the Division Head of ICTD.
